The Uitmarkt is the cultural festival of the year and takes place on the 24th, the 25th and the 26th of August at the Oosterdok in Amsterdam.
About the Uitmarkt
The Uitmarkt rings in the new cultural season each year, inspiring, entertaining and astounding theatre, music, book and film lovers alike. Annually attracting around 500,000 visitors, the festival features more than 300 performances across 28 stages. From classical to kid-friendly, hip-hop to dance and theatre to jazz – there’s something for everyone. And, it’s all free of charge!

For the past 41 years, the Uitmarkt has aimed to showcase a variety of the best of arts and culture in the Netherlands. Commissioned by the Stichting Uitmarkt Foundation, the Uitmarkt is organized by XSAGA Festivals. amsterdam&partners is responsible for the editorial content, marketing, and publicity of the festival.
